Analog photo, negative size 18 x 26 cm, prints from small to 300 cm;
By digital image processing, I added a shadow in this photograph from a 18 x 24 cm negative, so that it looks like a street lamp is illuminating only the lower part of this monument. Everything is visible except what the monument is actually commemorating. A viewer might reflect on reminiscence itself. The several possible meanings of the untranslatable German title also raise questions: Reminder, commemoration or memory.
Somebody else might wonder what this means in the German context of this work of art.
